Who Has More Explaining to Do?

 | March 18, 2010

Who would've thought that the two most "substantive" issues dominating the NJ-12 GOP Primary would be campaign finance and abortion? Go figure.

Save Jersey has led the way uncovering Scott Sipprelle's bizarre donor habits (cited by the national media) and critiquing Mike Halfacre's strange abortion evolution (cited by, ironically, the Sipprelle campaign). With the Middlesex Convention right around the corner, I want to know which revelation do you find most concerning as you seek to throw your support one way or the other, Save Jerseyans?

Tell me now or I'll never know!

Which Story is More Troubling in the NJ-12 GOP Primary?
Scott Sipprelle's numerous donations to Congressional Democrats
Mike Halfacre's strange story explaining his abortion views
They're equally disturbing
I'm not bothered by either story

The small % Sipperelle gave to Democrats is nothing compared to what is going on in the 6th district.

WHY IS NO ONE WRITING ABOUT THIS?

Mickey Gooch husband of candidate Diane Gooch gave $1200.00 to ActBlue. a liberal democratic PAC check out their website at
    http://www.actblue.com/.
$4800.00 to Texas Democratic Senate candidate Bill White
$6,400.00 to FRANK PALLONE (the guy his wife is running against)
$1000.00 to liberal NY Congresswomen (and rabid anti gun advocate) Carolyn McCarthy.
$1200.00 to Liberal Democratic Senator Chris Dodd.(http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?zip=07760&last=GOOCH&first=Michael)
According to the website “Follow the Money” he also gave $50,100.00 (yes you read that right) to Democrat Nassau County Executive Tom Souzzi for his NY Lt. Governor bid and $10,000.00 to Andrew Cuomo.
$1,000.00 to Democratic candidate for NY Governor Glen Poshard.
Of course their were also donations to Sean Kean, Jen Beck, Joe Kyrillos and John Bennett which explains why they are backing a candidate with an inferior resume who does not even live in the District.
NOW I know you are asking why is what her husband donating relevant. Well it is relevant because apparently her biggest selling point is that she can self fund using her husbands fortune.Do we want a candidate beholden to her liberal husband.
Oh and btw, Diane Gooch also gave “50 grand” to Souzzi
It makes Siperrelle look like a piker

Of course, no one's commenting on this because it is irrelevant to running an effective political campaign anywhere. In the case of CD12, however, the desperate partisan political hacks backing Halfacre have no message of their own or ability to raise or give money to anyone, so they are trying to find some negative handle to attack Sipprelle because they know he is the superior candidate by far, deserves to win the nomination and can defeat Rush Holt in November. Halfacre and his hired guns are the very embodiment of hypocrisy. This is why people despise politicians from small towns to the Halls of Congress.

So in a republican primary it Never matters how much money a candidate gave to Democrats.

What if the gave $500,000.00 to politicians and falf where dems.

What if they were all dems.

What if they gave it all to move on.org?

At some point it bhas to matter?

"At some point," yes. But the three hypotheticals you list bear no relationship to the case at hand. Sipprelle gave 5% of his donations to Dems, and had very specific goals in mind when he gave them. He didn't donate to the DNC, but to individuals. Of course, the point I am making is ignored by Halftwit's hit men, because they're only interested in negativism because Halftrack is such a loser. Anyway, no matter, Halftwit will be out of the race within two weeks.

What "goal did he have in mind" when he gave a max-out donation to Charles Schumer?

Yours is an embarrassingly bad excuse! I'm voting Halfacre because I know where he stands on the issues. I don't want to have to guess!

Obviously, you know nothing about Schumer's role in protecting the NY financial industry from his fellow Dems predatory redistribute the wealth schemes. As to Mike Halftruth, his stand on the issues is political expediency. His "I was against it, before I was for" pro-life stance makes him the biggest flip-flopper since John Kerry. Mike will finish third in this primary.
