An Honest Man in an Unholy Place
| February 12, 2010 Did you observe how uncomfortable the Democrats looked yesterday during Chris Christie's emergency budget address, Save Jerseyans? Some even appeared shocked!
Of course, they shouldn't be surprised at all. Chris is simply coming through on everything he promised to tackle during the election (in record time, I might add). Someone with principles who sticks to their guns and challenges the status quo is always a rarity under the dome in Trenton. I just don't think these hardened elected hacks know how to respond when they encounter a genuinely honest man like Chris Christie. It doesn't compute hence, the goofy expressions on their faces!
The most powerful Thursday moment, when Chris put the Legislature on notice going forward:
I was not a Christie supporter during the primary. He came off to me as some vapid RINO who could never take the heat from making some serious budget cutting decisions.
His actions have made me cautiously optimistic that he is not what I thought he would be.
