Where Was This McCain in '08?

"President Obama is leading an extreme left-wing crusade to bankrupt America."

Who said it?

Rush Limbaugh? Glenn Beck? Matt Rooney?

Nope. John Sidney McCain, Save Jerseyans. The man who refused to throw a hard punch at Democrats in 2008 is suddenly swinging like mad at President Obama in 2010. I could be cynical and chalk this sudden change of heart up to McCain's difficult GOP primary challenge from the ultra-conservative J.D. Hayworth or, an even more likely possibility, to McCain's infamous ability to hold a grudge against past political opponents. Just ask George W. Bush!

Let's not go there. For now, I'll say only that John McCain might be president today -- and the American people might've been spared the mess Obama is currently creating -- if Senator McCain's 2008 campaign sounded anything like these two radio ads running in Arizona:
