Anti-Christie Bias in New Q Poll Tomorrow?

Matt Rooney | November 21, 2009

I received the following email today from one of our Save Jerseyans:

"I received a call from Quinnipiac [today], and they indicated a new poll was coming out tomorrow……

The questions were about Corzine, Christie, taxes, Obama, Sen Menendez, NJ state legislature…

I took offense to a number of questions, which started out by asking “if you had to choose one……”

One such question was, if you had to choose one to raise taxes, which would it be:  gas, property, sales or income…….there is no option to say “none of the above”……same kind of question for reducing gov’t spending, etc….."

I've since spoken to another individual who took the same survey, too.

These junk polls really drive me crazy! Can you detect the anti-Christie bias here? They're trying to create news by identifying a single item for which the public would allegedly tolerate a higher state-imposed tax. In reality, a majority of participants would've answered "none of the above" if given the opportunity -- sneaky stuff!

Pundits need to abandon this stupid assumption that the state budget can only be balanced by raising taxes. False! Chris Christie promised to cut taxes, and he won't be bullied into reversing course and raising taxes by the liberal elites at Quinnipiac University or anywhere else. Drastic spending cuts are the only solution to the fiscal nightmare Jon Corzine is leaving us. The only poll that matters already transpired back on November 3rd, and the people of New Jersey voted for an end to Corzine-style big government in large numbers.

Get used it it!
