LOW LIFE: Corzine Cronies Defund Christie Transition?
Matt Rooney | November 9, 2009
Another low life maneuver from our outgoing governor, revealed Friday on NJ 101.5:
Chris Christie led in the polls since late January 2009. Jon Corzine was always expected to face a serious reelection challenge. There's no earthly reason whatsoever for the Trenton establishment to have neglected the allocation of transition funds.
This is a direct affront to Chris Christie, Save Jerseyans. No doubt about it. And this is so much worse than simply removing the w's from executive office keyboards! A proper transition is key to the next administration's ability to form a government before the January inauguration. Thousands of personnel, administrative, and legal decisions need to be made between now and then. N.J. Democrat pettiness will, as it always does, only hurt the hardworking people of New Jersey.
An idea? Corzine should reach into his own deep pockets and fund the transition himself. Chris Christie has his hands full over the next four years cleaning up Jon Corzine's mess. It wouldn't kill Corzine to foot some of the bill!

Another low life maneuver from our outgoing governor, revealed Friday on NJ 101.5:
"Governor Jon Corzine was magnanimous in his concession speech shortly before 11pm Tuesday night. He congratulated Governor-elect Chris Christie adding, "I want you to know that Chris was gracious in his response and we will work hard together to make sure the transition is smooth."
Yesterday as guest on Jim Gearhart's show on NJ 101.5 FM, Christie brought up anew transition issue. He said, "Interestingly, the state didn't fund the transition. They didn't put any money in the budget for a transition (laughs) so we need to talk about making sure that we get that squared away."
