Three Reasons Why Chris Christie Will Win
Matt Rooney | November 2, 2009
Barack Obama can hold two or twelve rallies with Jon Corzine between now and Tuesday, Save Jerseyans. It still won't matter. Chris Christie is poised to win on Election Day.
Here's three concise reasons why:
1. Jon Corzine's money didn't succeed in destroying Chris Christie.
Jon Corzine outspent Chris Christie by nearly 3 or 2 to 1 for most of the nearly-completed 2009 election cycle. The real barrage began after Labor Day, during which time Chris's numbers fell precipitously but have since leveled off. A few new polls even suggest that Chris is rebounding towards a statistically significant lead.
What happened? The Corzine campaign never managed to move their candidate comfortably beyond the Rick Santorum 40% mark. Remember - like I said before, Corzine can't "win" but he can still lose. What we're finding out is that a deeply unpopular and failed governor can't make someone lose, either.
2. The GOP GOTV effort is better than the Democrats' tactics.
The most overrated activity in politics is Democrat GOTV. Have you ever seen it in action? A group of union guys go door-to-door, in a group, dropping lit at every house in the neighborhood and, in the process, accomplishing very little in terms of voter contact or data collection. What's missing? Targeting and urgency. So no: the Dems don't do get-out-the-vote nearly as well as the media portrays it. They simply sell it better by putting up impressive volunteer mobilization numbers.
The GOP does a much better job at GOTV largely out of necessity. Without the benefit of union support or geographically compact supporter bases, Republicans are forced to identify and target voters in a very precise and disciplined manner. The N.J. GOP is currently using the RNC's "Victory Program," which is the same operation utilized by President Bush's hugely successful Ohio and Florida campaigns in 2004. It's a GOTV operation on a scale which has never been seen in the Garden State. Be ready!
The traditional October N.J. GOP polling collapses is, therefore, usually more indicative of a Republican weakness than Democrat strength in the GOTV arena. Don't expect a collapse this year.
3. We successfully outed Daggett as a fraud.
In the latest poll, Chris Daggett is down to 8% and fading fast. That's because some smart RGA and Christie campaign attacks aimed at Daggett -- combined with some help from blogs like Save Jersey -- have successfully convinced uncommitted Independents and Republicans that Chris Daggett is certainly not in the mold of conservatives like Steve Lonegan. To the contrary, Daggett is a fiscal liberal and Corzine plant with little to offer except decades of bureaucratic experience and reams of tax-hiking plans.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Do You Support Trenton's A.C. Takeover?

Let's just hope that all of the political analysis of late is correct. One thing that still disturbs me are the so-called mainstream media polls that show the race too close to call. I think those polls are, in themselves designed to demoralize conservative and GOP voters into thinking that there is nothing they can do, when the opposite is in fact the case.
Jon Corzine's days in the sun have come and gone. He was a failure at Goldman Sachs, a failure as a US Senator and a failure as Governor. Let's send him back to his luxury pad in Hoboken in January 2010 UNEMPLOYED - like 9.8% of all NJ workers. Maybe, just maybe, he might gain a better understanding of what it's like to have one's employer (in this case the taxpayers) tell him his performance is UNSATISFACTORY and his services are no longer required.

I just came from my parents house. As I parked my car at their curb with my car covered in Chris Christie for Governor bumper stickers, I had to laugh. There were 2 Corzine lawn signs beside me. They are staunch Democrats, but after only 15 minutes of educating them, they are convinced that Corzine's connection to Obama will only aid in the downfall of our country. My dad removed the signs; however, he couldn’t put up the Chris Christie sign I had, because my mother is a member of the Democrat Club (LOL). They are now voting for Chris Christie.
You see, the president needs to keep the Democrats in power to achieve his goals; hence, his reason for coming to New Jersey 3 times to support Corzine and visiting Virginia as well.
Check out the following:
Obama is for increased government while Chris Christie knows that too much government poses a tremendous burden on taxpayers and a loss of our liberties. Christie plans to CUT government;
Obama is pushing the universal health care bill that will socialize our health care and destroy our quality of care. (Why do you think the wealthy in other countries with socialized health care come to the US to get treatments?) Chris Christie wants to reduce unnecessary state mandates to free up the market and lower the cost of health care;
Obama has two bills in the House which will stifle our freedoms on the internet and the press—aaaaaa—No more FOX news—No more Matt Rooney– No more freedom of speech for you and me! (the main one is Bill S773). With the Republicans gaining seats, the bill will die;
Obama plans to give amnesty for the 12 million illegals in this country - paste (http://voices.kansascity.com/node/1653) in your search engine. Chris Christie wants to enforce the E-verify which will stop the hiring of illegal aliens in the work place and be a deterrent to illegals flocking into our state;
and last of all, Obama's plan to sign the UN World Government Climate Change treaty which will take away this countries sovereignty this December. See proof of the latter by pasting this in your search engine: (http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&source=hp&q=United+Nations+world+government+treaty&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=cwzvSsq9LJO1lAfxxv3_BA&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CBUQqwQwAA#). By the way, the Global Warming threat is all a scare tactic used by the Democrats in Washington just to pass Cap & Trade and to give them a reason to place high taxes on our energy consumption.
PLEASE DO THE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU VOTE TOMORROW NEW JERSEY.

I agree with your comments and appreciate the references. What you are being too polite to say is that our fearless leader, Barack Hussein "The Anointed One" Obama is a MARXIST.
he and his minions believe in the redistribution of wealth through confiscatory taxation, more and more regulation and the diminuition of individual liberty. Millions of Americans find this offensive and quite honestly, scary.
The fact that the DEMs claim to be the party of the little guy and for freedom of expression is a sad, pathetic joke. It's OK when they do the protesting, screaming, ranting and raving. But when conservatives and even moderates who question the wisdom of wholesale control of entire industries and enterprises by a corrupt and incompetent federal bureaucracy, then we are called "bigots, racists, astroturf, tea baggers" and so on.
The radicals who run Washington and those who aspire to retain control in Trenton need to hear and remember this:
"YOU WORK FOR US! WE DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND WE WILL FIRE YOU!"
So long Jon, have fun being Unemployed

You are so right Paul, and I thank you. I have referred many to YouTube to watch this video "the Obama deception." I hope you will watch it too. It is totally scary.

Probably Daggett is a plant as Bob Grant suggests because the stakes are so great. Given Obama's Saudi backing, Daggett may be in for tens of millions if he can get Corzine close enough for Acorn to do its stuff. New Jersey is corrupt from A to Z--truly a disgusting state to live in, governed by a host of special interests with their paws out.
