The Wellstone Memorial On Steroids
Matt Rooney | August 26, 2009
That didn't take long, did it?
From Politico:
I told you this would happen, Save Jerseyans. Liberals will politicize Ted Kennedy's death in order to intimidate those opposing ObamaCare.
I've spent the last 24 hours trying to bring balance to the media coverage of Ted Kennedy's death. I don't wish anyone ill and I pray for the repose of his soul, but I will not lie about his legacy or offer my readers an incomplete truth regarding the Kennedy record. Our liberal friends, however, have no problem using a man's death to intimidate vocal critics into silence. They'll use Kennedy's name, currently being sanctified by the press, as a shield against ObamaCare criticism. Henceforth, any criticism of socialized medicine will be denounced as "tasteless" and a direct attack on Ted Kennedy. After all, this bill is being purposefully and opportunistically fused with Teddy's legacy. How could conservatives be so cruel? (rolls eyes)

From Politico:
Ailing Senator Robert Byrd, one of only two to have served longerthan Kennedy, suggests in an emotional statement renaming the pendinghealth care legislation for the late Massachusetts Senator:
"In his honor and as a tribute to his commitment to hisideals, let us stop the shouting and name calling and have a civilizeddebate on health care reform which I hope, when legislation has beensigned into law, will bear his name for his commitment to insuring thehealth of every American."

Do You Support Trenton's A.C. Takeover?

what an insult
why would you want to name a bill that won't even come to a cloture vote after someone who just died
seems like a mean thing to do
but robert byrd has never been known for his kindness
must be something from his background, maybe his membership in the klan?

... that there's at least one web site that isn't kissing Ted Kennedy's socialist, corrupt, debaucherous, murderous ass today!
Kudos to you Matt Rooney.
