But you need to understand, this is why they win so much. They understand, as we need to, that this campaign is nothing but a street fight. We need to remember this.

The post assumes a parking lot beatdown--I assumed "teach them a lesson" meant read to them from Eduardo Galeano's "Open Veins of Latin America."
It is unclear which fate is worse.
