LIST: 261 "Shovel Ready" Stimulus Projects in NJ.... with NOTHING for South Jersey!

By Matt Rooney | February 27, 2009

The HUGE list posted below is an accounting of 261 "shovel ready" New Jersey public works projects proposed for stimulus cash.

The total cost?  $2,685,299,405

It's also interesting to see where the funds are headed.  Suburbs and rural areas might come away with virtually nothing, but urban areas that went heavily for President Obama stand to benefit... big time.

....AND I might add that there's NOTHING FOR SOUTH JERSEY in this thing. I hope my fellow South Jerseyans keep this in mind for future elections.

This is NOT the full list of incoming money...

Anyway, not one of these towns went for McCain (Shocker!)..not even Hamilton .

Oh, and John Adler voted for this?! Not one damn penny went to any town he represents.

By the way, does anyone want to tell me how the money for Alcohol Beverage Control Monitoring creates jobs? Is there going to be a alcoholic beverage control monitor hired now in Elizabeth?!

This is just from the mayor conference. Other towns & counties are putting in bids- Burlington County can stand to get over $40 million alone. See what happens here... I'll be angry if they use it all for the slums of North Jersey too.
