Court Sets Date for Corzine-Katz-Wilson Hearing

By Matt Rooney | August 28, 2008

The hearing date for the Corzine-Katz e-mails will take place November 13th. Curiously, Governor Corzine's counsel is forcefully pushing for an expedited court schedule:

The two had been at odds over whether the case should be fast- tracked to a conclusion. Corzine's attorneys argued it is in "public interest" to speed it along; Katz op posed a schedule that would cut her ability to respond. The appeals court ordered Katz to file her brief by Sept. 25 and gave Wilson and the national Communications Workers of America until Oct. 27 to respond.

The "public interest" wouldn't have anything to do with a certain November 2009 gubernatorial election, would it governor? Of course not...
