Bill Pascrell Should Apologize to Karl Rove
By Matt Rooney | August 28, 2008
Apparently a Fordham masters degree in Philosophy qualifies you to be a theologian:
I thought Republicans were supposed to have a monopoly on self-righteous religiosity? Pascrell seems determined to make a play for this dubious distinction. The congressman spent years complaining about The Sopranos and now, since the show is off the air, he must need a new ax to grind.
Where does this anger come from? What happened to simple disagreement? Can't you disagree with or even dislike someone without condemning them to an eternity of fire and brimstone? At the very least, Congressman Pascrell owes the President, Vice President and Mr. Rove an apology.

“We might have missed the last eight years because folks did not tell us the truth. Dante’s Inferno laid out very specifically the very levels receding into hell. And the hottest place is reserved for those who distort the truth, who manipulate our minds, or who attempt to do it, anyway. So I don’t think Bush and Cheney will be at the hottest point in the inferno, but I sure as hell know that Karl Rove will be.”
