Convention Strife: Howard Wolfson Slams Mark Warner

By Matt Rooney | August 26, 2008

I'm watching the Fox News DNC coverage and simply can't get enough of the Democratic discord. Examples?

  • Former Clinton Communications Director and Fox News analyst, Howard Wolfson, slams Mark Warner for moving his speech time to avoid having to attack John McCain. Wolfson called it "a missed opportunity" and expressed dismay that Clinton was being set-up to play convention hatchet-man. Mark Warner, no doubt, could care less out of concern for his future political career. Hillary's people on the floor, however, are taking Warner's act as a slight.
  • Hundreds of Hillary supporters spent the balance of the afternoon outside of the Pepsi Center waving signs, chanting "McCain" and demanding a state-by-state convention roll call. They're promising more demonstrations in the coming days if Clinton doesn't get a fair deal from the convention floor.
  • Did Hillary's people or Obama's campaign design the Hillary introduction video? The pre-speech Hillary video montage was full of what seemed like veiled insults aimed at the Clintons. For example, note that Bill Clinton was labeled simply as "Hillary's Husband" during his interview segment.
  • Where are the Hillary signs that were handed out for every other convention speaker?

Stay tuned for more hilarity from the Night of the Living Hillary...
